CD school board to vote on district's budget
This morning's edition of The Patriot-News previewed tonight's school board meeting that will feature a vote on a preliminary budget for next school year. Unfortunately, PennLive.com does not have a link to the full article.
Tax hikes, curriculum changes and staff layoffs are all on the table, according to The Patriot-News. The maximum tax hike mentioned is 3.3 percent, or $33 more per $100,000 of assessed property value.
The meeting will be held in the Central Dauphin East High School auditorium starting at 7 pm.
Concerned citizens have started to show up in large numbers at meetings over the last year in response to a series of controversial decisions made by the school board, including the infamous vote last summer to outsource bus services.
