Memorial Day weekend happenings

* Free swim at Koons Pool on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 1–8 pm.

* Linglestown Legion Memorial Day Parade on Monday at 1 pm. Community get-together follows the parade at Koons Park. The parade route is shown below. (Click the photo to view a larger version.)

Darn it....two years in a row I won't be in the parade in my CW Union uniform firing my musket. Last year was recovering from surgery and tomorrow is going to be too darn hot for someone of my age (and weight)to be marching in wool.
Can at least report that today LP Historical Soc. made sure Newside Cemetery is respectfully spiffed up for Memorial Day.
