Twilight baseball update

Linglestown Twilight split four games late last week and over the weekend, and started the week in the first place (9–5 record) of the East Shore Twilight League. Below are game recaps:

Hummelstown 9 – Linglestown 8 (June 24) ... Linglestown carried a 6–3 lead into the final inning and seemed to have things in control. But, Hummelstown went crazy in their seventh inning at-bat when they plated six runners to turn the tide their way, with five runs coming off a grand slam by Jimmy Miller and a solo shot by Chuck Faust. Twilight's Jon Stahl hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the inning.

Linglestown 7 – Valley View 1 (June 26, doubleheader) ... Linglestown scored six runs in the first inning, with back-to-back home runs by Nate Shroy and Jon Stahl accounting for three of the scores. Twilight hurler Joe Leo tossed a nifty three-hitter in his best outing of the season.

Linglestown 5 – Valley View 1 ... In game two, Jason Kelly tossed a three-hitter, and Twilight put a run on the board in five of their six at-bats to record their ninth win of the season.

Hummelstown 10 – Linglestown 7 (June 27) ... Linglestown jumped out to a 6–0 lead prior to Hummelstown getting hot at the plate. Hummelstown center fielder Chuck Faust did the most damage with two homers and four RBIs.
