Twilight dominates Steelton on diamond

Linglestown Twilight, the three-time defending East Shore sandlot champs, won their third straight game in style by shutting out Steelton 5–0 Tuesday at Koons Park. The win gets the club back to a .500 record for the year at 3–3.

Starting Linglestown pitcher Rhys Wolford (pictured) threw a great game, allowing only three hits over six innings. Josh Muscalus pitched the seventh inning to get a save.

Wolford got all the offense he needed in the bottom of the first inning when his teammates plated four on four hits. Scott Montgomery and Nate Shroy each picked up a pair of RBIs.

The final score of the game came in the fourth inning off a Montgomery double that sent Kyle Hollingsworth scurrying home from second base.

NEXT GAME: Twilight hosts Lawnton at Koons Park on Thursday at 6 pm.
