Twilight hurler records no-hitter

Pete Hayden (pictured) pitched a no-hitter for Linglestown Twilight in a 11–1 win over Lawnton in an East Shore sandlot league game at Koons Park this evening.

Lawnton's only run came in the seventh and final inning off two walks and an error.

The final out was made by shortstop Sam Phillips on a sharp grounder up the middle that he stabbed in front of the second-base bag and just beat the runner at first with a throw from his knees.

Designated hitter Jon Stahl hit a three-run homer in the third inning for Linglestown and had a total of four RBIs for the game.

The win was the team's fourth straight and took their record to 4–3.

UPCOMING GAMES:
Two home games this weekend – Saturday at 2 pm against Penbrook, and Sunday at 2 pm against Middletown.
