Linglestown weekender

Lower Paxton Township’s TGIF summer concert series will feature the sounds of Timeless this Friday, July 23 at Brightbill Park, 7–8 pm, free admission. The band plays classic tunes from not so long ago, and is headed up by Linglestown-area resident Dave Kaprocki. Be sure to bring a lawn chair.

Calvary Build, a Habitat for Humanity project sponsored by Calvary United Methodist Church, is hosting a Sunday Brunch in the Church Fellowship Hall, 4700 Locust Lane, on Sunday, July 25 from 9:30 am–12:30 pm. Proceeds will benefit the 2010 house construction project on Woodbine Street that will break ground in late summer.

Tickets for the brunch are $12 for adults (11 and up), $6 for children (ages 6-10), and free for those 5 and younger. Tickets may be ordered by calling the church office at 545-0021 (payable on the day of the Brunch).
