Twilight heads to semifinal series

Linglestown Twilight is set to take on Palmyra this evening in the first game of the East Shore Twilight League semifinal playoff round. Game time is 5:45 pm at Koons Park, free admission.

Linglestown and Palmyra split their regular season series with two wins apiece.

Twilight earned a first-round bye last Friday when they defeated a tough Hummelstown club 6–5 to earn a second-place finish in the regular season. Middletown also earned a bye and won the regular season championship by a point over Linglestown.

Palmyra swept Hummelstown in a best-of-three first-round series over the weekend to advance to the semifinal round.

Twilight has a good shot at winning the playoffs for a fourth straight year. They usually score plenty of runs and play above average defense. Getting good starting pitching will be a key to victory because the bullpen is a little thin this year.
