Twilight’s championship streak ends
Middletown ended Linglestown Twilight’s bid for a fourth straight playoff crown Friday by winning 2–1 at Koons Park. With the victory, Middletown won the best-of-seven series 4–2.The playoffs turned into a marathon of sorts because league officials decided to play every day until a champion was crowned.
Linglestown and Middletown each played two series that required 10 games in 11 days. The only day off came last Thursday when a game was rained out.
