Does anyone know why the concrete on the roundabouts had to be broken up? The cement had set and the crews broke it up with a huge jackhammer.

I would have to assume there was something wrong with the cement they poured, but haven't heard anything.

It probably failed DOT compression tests.

On another aspect, does anyone know if the LFC-side roundabout will have the center planted with flowers or concrete?

A nice "Welcome to St. Thomas, the historic section of Linglestown" would sure be nice.

Based on talk at a recent meeting, the roundabout at the firehouse will be filled with cement. Someone suggested that large flower pots could be used to beautify the roundabout.

I am curious when they will enforce the "back in parking only" signs on the square. Sort of comical to see vehicles park head first right in front of the sign! Tempting to take a picture of the contradiction. :)

Back-in parking in the square probably won't come into play until final paving and line painting is completed.
