Linglestown to return to two-way traffic soon

Updated with reporter's notes on 6/2/11 at 9:23 pm.

Linglestown Road is projected to be open to two-way traffic with both roundabouts in service this Friday, June 3, according to a report given during last week's Village of Linglestown Committee meeting. CLICK HERE for reporter's notes from the meeting.

To prepare for navigating through the roundabouts, CLICK HERE for a video with how-to instructions.

Pictured is the partially constructed roundabout island in the square of Linglestown. Eventually the center section of the island will be planted with grass and a flag pole will be erected.

who will be responsible for mowing the grass areas that have been added to the project? Love the green spaces it's added. . .but just curious!

How are these roundabouts going to help the situation at all? After watching the video, I can't see how it's going to be any better. The traffic on Rte. 39 is still going to be heavy making it hard for cars on Mountain road to enter. A traffic light is what was needed.
