Linglestown stays hot on diamond

The Linglestown Juggernauts (11–6–1, tied for third place) continued their winning ways in East Shore Twilight League play last week by toppling defending champs Middletown 2–1 last Thursday at Middletown High School. With the game knotted at one, Linglestown took the lead in the first extra inning and held on to win when leftfielder Sam Nott gunned down a Middletown player at the plate. Luke Drayer, a 2010 Hershey High School grad, was the winning pitcher.

The team won by forfeit Saturday over Hummelstown.

The Juggernauts play two home games at Koons Park this week – Tuesday against Middletown and Wednesday against Valley View. Both games start at 6 pm.
