Rain spoils Linglestown lead in baseball playoff

Tonight's rain spoiled a fast start by the Linglestown Juggernauts in game one of a first-round East Shore Twilight League playoff game at Koons Park against Hummelstown.

Minutes after Linglestown's Kyle Hollingsworth rocketed a homer in the bottom of second inning, the rain picked up and the game was postponed. Juggernaut pitcher Luke Drayer gave up two hits and no runs during the first two innings.

Game one of the best-of-three series will be replayed Friday at Koons Park with a 5:45 pm first pitch.

The two teams each won two games apiece during regular season play. One of Linglestown's wins came via a forfeit.
