Sandlot baseball update

Update @ 1:33 pm, Tuesday, July 5 – Linglestown will play a home game against Lawnton this evening at Central Dauphin High School, 6 pm first pitch. The game location was moved due to tonight's fireworks show at Koons Park.

The Linglestown Juggernauts (8–6–1) won two games and dropped one last week to retain a solid grip on fourth place in the East Shore Twilight League.

In a wild contest Monday in Hummelstown, the Juggernauts gave up six runs in the last inning but hung on to win 9–8. Nate Shroy hit a homer and Luke Drayer was the winning pitcher.

A three-run last-inning rally by Valley View spelled doom for Linglestown in a 4–3 loss played Wednesday in Schuylkill County.

And at Koons Park on Thursday, the Juggernauts blew out Steelton 15–2. Peter Hayden was the winning pitcher. At the plate, Sam Nott hit a pair of homers and Luke Drayer smacked a fourth-inning grand slam.

NEXT GAME AT KOONS PARK – This Saturday, July 9, 5 pm, against Hummelstown.
