I've got a huge backlog of stuff to work through, so hold on tight while I start tossing things your way ...

* The Central Dauphin band boosters have kicked off a fund-raising campaign to fund desperately needed new uniforms. CLICK HERE for more details and HERE to take a look at the prototype design of the uniform.

* There still are seats available for the Central Dauphin High's musical Grease that will be performed this Thursday through Saturday. CLICK HERE for a preview of the show by The Patriot-News and HERE to buy tickets.

* Harrisburg Christian School, located off of Blue Mountain Parkway a few miles north of Linglestown, will hold an open house on Saturday, March 10 from 10 am to noon. School parents, students, teachers and administrators will be available to give tours, answer questions and share the HCS experience. RSVP for the March 10 event HERE.

* The Village of Linglestown Committee this month discussed shedding some responsibilities and erecting new signs to identify the entrances to the village. CLICK HERE for notes from the meeting that were submitted by community watchdog group SWAN.

* The Linglestown Area Civic Association held its second-ever meeting this month and adopted a new village slogan – Small Village, Big Heart. And, the group now has official leaders – Doug Kepler, president; Rebecca James, vice president; Deb Rowe, secretary; and Debbie McKenna, treasurer.

* According to The Patriot-News, Dauphin County commissioners today approved grants funded by slot machine revenue from Hollywood Casino that included $180,000 to improve the Linglestown fire station. Also, $80,000 was approved for a joint project by Lower Paxton and West Hanover townships to replace a bridge on Jonestown Road.
