Learn cool stuff about Linglestown that few know about

Here's another edition of Backyard News ...

* Community group SWAN will hold a fundraiser at Stauffer's of Kissel Hill on Linglestown Road tomorrow, Saturday, June 9, between 10 am til 3 pm.

* Let's give three cheers for Linglestown Area Civic Association for participating in the state's "Adopt a Highway" program. The group will pick up trash on N. Mountain Road from the square to the American Legion, and along a section of Linglestown Road that includes the village.

* Linglestown Life is offering you the opportunity to worship during the week beginning Thursday, July 12.

The church's leaders know that many people like to travel or visit family and friends on the weekend, so they invite Gazette readers to join them on Thursday nights in July and August beginning at 7:30 pm. They'll offer a family friendly and relaxed time of worship that will end at 8:15 pm.

* The opera is coming to Linglestown on Saturday, June 23, and Sunday, June 24.

Two performances of "Not a Tenor" and "Famous Opera Choruses" will take place at Linglestown Life at 7:30 pm Saturday and 2 pm Sunday.
