Sandlot baseball: Linglestown wins slugfest with Lawnton

There were fireworks a day early at Koons Park as Linglestown Twilight's Sam Nott (pictured) launched four home runs Monday to lead your home team to a 15–13 victory over Lawnton.

Twilight notes —  Twilight pitcher Patrick Reagan (1-1) recorded his first win in the  Lawnton game. He relieved starting pitcher Adam Chernicoff in the fourth inning and put down Lawnton one-two-three in the seventh inning to set the stage for Nott's walk-off homer in the bottom half of the inning ... Linglestown's record going into tonight's game at Hummelstown was 7-5-1, fourth place in the East Shore Twilight League ... Next home game is Saturday, 2 pm at Koons Park against Middletown ... And last but not least, a volunteer is needed to operate the electronic scoreboard on Saturday. Please stop by the refreshment stand prior to the game if you'd like to help.
