Meeting to focus on Rt. 39 bypass

Lower Paxton Township will hold a public meeting Thursday, Dec. 7 at 7 pm to discuss planned Route 39 improvements in the village of Linglestown. The meeting will be held at the Linglestown Fire House located at the intersection of Linglestown Road and Pennsylvania Avenue.

The focus of the meeting will be a bypass proposed to improve traffic flow on Route 39 and Blue Mountain Parkway. Land will need to be acquired from property owners to construct the bypass.

One family impacted by proposed path for the bypass objected to the plan at two public meetings held last month.
