Linglestown weekend grab bag

For those of you on the western fringes of the Linglestown area, Gazette contributor Q reports that a Dollar General store is coming to the Beaufort Plaza on Linglestown Road in Susquehanna Township.

In CD sports, the Rams boys’ volleyball team suffered its first loss of the season Thursday against archrival Cumberland Valley Eagles. CLICK HERE for a game report from The Patriot-News.

Moving to the hardcourt, The Patriot-News reports that CD is poised to hire a new boys' basketball coach.

In Linglestown baseball, youth teams have started spring training at Koons Park. Opening Day is Saturday, April 19 at 11:30 am.

Sticking with baseball, defending East Shore Twilight League champions Linglestown Twilight team will play their first home game on Thursday, May 22. The team is looking for volunteers to fill the following game-day positions – scoreboard operator, game announcer and concession stand attendants. For more info, call 545-9558 and ask for Brian.
