Government watchdog, 06.22.09

I plan to attend tonight's Central Dauphin School Board meeting that will be held in the Lecture Hall of Central Dauphin East High School, 7 pm.

The board is expected to take a final vote on the 2009-2010 budget that includes 2.45 percent property-tax hike. Also, several speakers are scheduled to comment on recent happenings with the district's transportation department.

Later today I will post a report about last week's Board of Supervisors meeting that was submitted by the fine folks affiliated with SWAN.

And, the supervisors will conduct a budget workshop meeting at the Municipal Center on Tuesday, June 23, 6 pm. The session could be interesting since the township's revenues this year are below budget projections. Check the Gazette later this week for a meeting summary.
