Lower Paxton watchdog, Sept. 2010

Below are updates on happenings at Lower Paxton Township government meetings last month.

* The township planning commission continues to work on a planned Business Improvement District along the Route 22 business corridor. CLICK HERE for background information.

* Lower Paxton supervisors have halted work on a proposed solar farm project while state lawmakers consider renewable energy legislation. CLICK HERE for background information.

* The supervisors postponed condemnation of a Linglestown property when the owner expressed concern that a historic spring would be destroyed. CLICK HERE for the story by The Patriot-News.

* The township greenway committee is working on a Walking Opportunities Brochure, and eyeing a stretch along Nyes Road and Nyes Run for a possible walking trail. Also, some committee members are looking for locations where gaps in existing sidewalks and trail systems for biking and walking could be filled.
