eCycling opportunity

Recycle computers, other electronics and clothes on Saturday, Oct. 21, at Dauphin County’s semi-annual Community Recycling Day. Drive-thru service will be located in the west parking lot of Harrisburg Area Community College from 9 am to 1 pm.

Colts headed for playoffs

Linglestown Colts varsity midget football teams won all three games on Oct. 8 against the West Shore Vikings at Koons Park:

PeeWee: Colts 27 – West Shore 12
Pony: Colts 25 – West Shore 7
Midget: Colts 50 – West Shore 39

And, the Colts played Carlisle Thundering Herd in the final regular season games on Oct. 15 at Carlisle. Below are game scores; regular season win-loss record shown in parentheses:

PeeWee: Colts 13 – Carlisle 14 (4 – 3 – 1)
Pony: Colts 6 – Carlisle 36 (6 – 2)
Midget: Colts 22 – Carlisle 0 (7 – 1)

Playoffs begin this weekend. PeeWee and Pony teams have away games, and the Midget squad will play Middletown at Koons Park on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 10 am.

Colts bounce back against Harrisburg

Linglestown Colts varsity midget football teams bounced back from tough losses against Cumberland Valley by winning two and tying one against the Harrisburg Packers on Oct. 1; team win-loss record shown in parentheses:

PeeWee: Colts 6 – Harrisburg 6 (3 – 2 – 1)
Pony: Colts 6 – Harrisburg 0 (5 – 1)
Midget: Colts 14 – Harrisburg 13 (5 – 1)
